Our 2011 summer season We had a highly successful season which ran from April to September. We welcomed to the Temple and Lawn many visitors from our local community and further afield; the programme included several performances by children and young people and some special events for children. There were sonnets, soliloquies, social satire and swing bands, drama and afternoon tea, prose and mini-proms. There were visits from the Actors' Richmond Circle, school bands from Hampton, Hampton Junior and Lady Eleanor Holles Junior schools, Old Hamptonians Amateur Dramatic Society, the Orange Tree Theatre, St Mary's Drama Group, and even an appearance by the great 'David Garrick' himself and his wife 'Eva', who provided tea on the lawn for local children. Garrick’s Temple again participated in Open House London, the annual opportunity to enjoy and celebrate buildings and places where we live and work. Although the Temple officially closes its doors for the winter at the end of October, the Lawn remains open and accessible for the public to enjoy - a tranquil and lovely spot at the heart of the Arcadian Thames landscape.
